Effective Date: October 1, 2025
Last Updated: November 1, 2025
Entity: Halo World Cafe
App: Halo Wallet (the “App”)
This Privacy Policy describes how Halo World Cafe (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use the Halo Wallet mobile application and the associated services provided through our backend system (the “Service”).
1. The Nature of the App and Service Architecture
The Halo Wallet App primarily serves as a mobile client (using an embedded web browser/WebView) to connect to our primary Secure Backend System hosted on our dedicated servers. All sensitive data, authentication, and transaction processing (including Halo Bytes and payments) occur securely on our backend system and database, not locally on the mobile device.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and sometimes from third-party services (e.g., payment processors).
A. Information Provided Directly by You
- Account Data: Name, email address, phone number, and password (hashed/encrypted) used for registration and authentication.
- Financial & Transaction Data: Records of Halo Bytes purchases, current balance, redemption history, and purchase history for computer time, food, and drinks. We use third-party payment processors; we do not store full credit card numbers.
- Order Data: Details of orders placed through the app (menu items, modifiers, cost, and associated Table Number).
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, OS version (iOS/Android), unique device identifiers, and IP address.
- Usage Data: Details about how you access and use the App (e.g., login times, pages viewed, features accessed).
- Web Session Data: Standard web logging data collected by our Backend System, such as browser type and session cookies used for maintaining authentication status.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following primary purposes:
- To Provide Services: To authenticate your identity, allow you to log in, enable Halo Bytes management, and process food/PC rental orders.
- Transaction Processing: To process financial transactions, including topping up and redeeming Halo Bytes.
- Customer Support: To respond to inquiries, diagnose technical issues, and manage accounts.
- Security & Fraud Prevention: To protect the Service and our users from fraudulent activity and unauthorized access.
- Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns to enhance App performance and functionality.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Information. We share your information only with the following types of third parties:
- Payment Processors: We share necessary financial data (e.g., card details, transaction amount) with third-party gateways to securely process your Halo Bytes purchases.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
5. Data Security and Retention
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data stored on our servers. Data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your Personal Data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for legal compliance.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your Personal Data. As required by Apple, users must be able to easily request account and data deletion from within the App.
- Deletion Request: You can request deletion of your entire Halo Wallet account and associated Personal Data by:
- Navigating to the Account Settings screen within the App.
- Following the "Delete Account" process (if available in the App UI).
- Alternatively, sending an email request to the contact email listed below.
We will verify your identity before proceeding with deletion requests and will fulfill them promptly, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.
